CONTACT INFORMATION FORM
Please CLICK HERE to access the contact information form. This information will be sent to a secure spreadsheet that will be used by 6th grade teachers for contacting you throughout the school year. I will be emailing you grade reports and feedback for projects. (This worked great last year and not only makes communication easier, but saves paper!)

JUPITER
In September you will receive login information for Jupiter. This is where you will be able to monitor grades and communicate with teachers.

Course Information

This year we will be learning how energy is transformed, or changed, in different systems. We will explore simple and complex machines. We will learn how organisms other than humans maintain a stable internal environment. And finally we will learn how energy flows through an ecosystem.

We will have a strong focus on Scientific Inquiry which will require students to employ critical thinking skills. Students will be engaged in collaborative Investigation Design and research to learn the content though a discovery learning approach.

We will utilize the Common Core State Standards as well as the New York State Science standards to develop your reading and writing skills in our content area.

Grading Policy
