Picture

Course Description

This year we will be focusing on four major units of study.  We will learn about the properties of matter and how it interacts with energy to explain physical and chemical changes.  Next, we will study geology and make discoveries as to how scientists gather and interpret information to prove that the earth is constantly changing!  Also, we will be exploring how weather is produced.  Lastly, we will be studying about how the human body systems function.

We will be using a variety of methods this year to explore and investigate these topics.  It is important for students to make self discoveries in order to promote a greater concrete understanding.  This is why many lesson investigations will be inquiry based.  Also, students will conduct collaborative investigations and research.
