“Pride”
In a joint effort to maintain a culture of respect and ensure a safe, bully-free learning environment for students in all grade levels, BELL Academy students will pledge to promote respect for all through a discussion about cultural pride.. Each student will be given a ribbon and on each ribbon, will write one way they are proud of their race, culture, or gender. Each student will tie their ribbon to the fence to show how each individual makes BELL Academy a better place. From the information collected by students in the Future Community Leaders Cluster, posters will be placed around the hallways to celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds of the students and staff at BELL Academy. The flag from each culture will be posted along with the reasons students gave as to why they are proud of their culture.

BELL Academy will celebrate No One Eats Alone day, a nationwide event during which students are encouraged to connect and engage with their peers in order to combat social isolation. Students from all grades will be placed in groups of four and given a seat assignment during 6th or 7th period lunch with the members of their group. Students will fill out a survey on the members of their group in order to ensure students engage in conversation with their group.
During the other lunch period, students will view a video put together by Student Government which brings to light information on bullying and acceptance.
